What you've been reading (24/12/09) and other bookish things

  • Adrian Warnock posts his first review for ages and it's Deep Church by Jim Belcher
  • Mark Meynell has an extended reflection on Flickering Pixels by Shane Hipps
  • Tim Chester reviews TransforMissional Coaching by Ogne & Roehl
  • Gary McMurray has read Joy to the World - Preaching the Christmas Story by Paul Beasley-Murray
  • Mark Heath reviews Fire & Blood by Mark Stibbe
  • Justin Taylor links to a short video on the future of the magazine
  • Kevin DeYoung lists his top 10 books of 2009
  • Andrew Marin chips in with his top books
  • Sam Storms list his top 10 books of 2009. I thought his no1 very interesting, because it is, "a rigorous defense of capitalism. But in a season where our country is drifting all too swiftly in the direction of socialism, this is precisely the book everyone needs to read."
  • Justin Taylor reprises the main themes of that book here. I've been meaning to engage with it for some time - although I'm unlikely to rush to the barricades to start defending capitalism.
